Stoke Care Home Welcomes Dignity Day

Amberley House in Stoke-on-Trent has chosen Dignity Action Day (25th Feb 2010) to showcase its facilities and services to health and social care professionals.

The home, which opened in April 2009, was the Priory Group’s first care home for older people in England,

Amberley House provides specialist and dementia nursing care in 76 single en-suite bedrooms, finished to the highest standard. There is also a choice of lounges and dining areas and an enclosed landscaped garden.

Ben Receives Top Prize in Priory Essay Competition

BEN RECEIVES TOP PRIZE IN PRIORY ESSAY COMPETITION

18-year-old Ben Porter from Kent has scooped the top prize in a national literary competition.

The Priory Ryan McKay prize is awarded each year to the young person who submits the best non-fiction composition on a set topic related to mental and physical health. The subject for 2009 entries was ‘happy with the skin you are in’ and judges deemed that 18-year old Ben Porter’s entry was worthy of the £1,000 top prize.

Priory makes major investment in Roehampton hospital

Priory Group, the UK’s leading independent provider of mental healthcare, has invested in excess of three million pounds to return its flagship Roehampton hospital to its former splendour.

The magnificent Grade 2 listed building, which was built in the style known as Strawberry Hill Gothic, has undergone extensive external restoration and redecoration. The rendering is being restored and the entire building re-painted in its original colour.

Priory Group opens first care home in Yorkshire

Priory Group, the UK’s leading independent provider of mental healthcare, is bringing its expertise to Yorkshire for the first time with the opening of Cooper House, a care home for older people.

Cooper House, in Bradford, is a purpose built nursing home with beds for 80 residents needing nursing or dementia nursing care. The home will be under the leadership of experienced manager Patricia Donaldson and will create up to 70 jobs in the area.
