September 20th 2011 - Thoughtified Limited, a SETsquared start-up company created by graduates of the Department of Computing, University of Surrey has won a major grant from the Technology Strategy Board. The grant will enable the Surrey Research Park-based company to work in the development of a participatory sensing system that will improve the management of NHS patient records in remote patient treatment.

The EuroTrak UK study will provide invaluable data for GPs, the NHS, Department of Health and the audiology profession. This study is now being publicised by The British Hearing Aid Manufacturers Association (BHAMA).
Hitachi Consulting United Kingdom today announced that it has completed the delivery of a significant online portal project for Commissioning Support for London (CSL). The creation of the new secure online portal provides National Health Service (NHS) commissioners with access to a set of tools to help them monitor how their providers are performing.
A girl, thought to be six years old, has died at Birmingham Children's Hospital after contracting swine flu.
NHS West Midlands said the girl, who had other serious health conditions, died on Friday evening. It is not known if flu contributed to her death.
